The Zacks Rank is built around one idea: that changes in earnings estimates move stocks. EquityBias reads analyst coverage too, as one layer of four, next to price structure, news and fundamentals. When those layers agree you see it, and when the analysts say one thing and the tape another, that split is the number we put next to the score.

The disagreement is its own number. Next to every Bias Score sits a divergence score from 0 to 100: how far the four layers of data behind it pull apart. A +20 where everything quietly agrees and a +20 where two layers fight two others are different stocks, and you see which one you have.
It moves with the market every trading day. Price structure, news, analyst ratings and fundamentals are read again every trading day, so the picture changes when the market does, not only when a company files new figures.
No verdict on the stock. We do not call anything a buy or a sell, outperform or underperform, cheap or expensive. You see what the data says and where it splits, and the decision stays yours.

The Zacks Rank places stocks on a scale from #1 Strong Buy to #5 Strong Sell. Zacks describes earnings estimate revisions as the force it built the Rank on, and lists four factors behind it: Agreement, Magnitude, Upside and Surprise, all measured on analysts' earnings estimates and the company's earnings surprises.
Zacks states that Zacks Premium is the only way to fully access the Zacks Rank.

Zacks suits someone who trades around earnings and wants a rank driven by how analysts are revising their numbers.
EquityBias suits someone who wants the earnings picture weighed against what the price, the news and the fundamentals are doing, on their own stocks, in one place.
